Our new Northern Champion

It was an exciting week at Headingley Golf Club - hosts to our Northern Championship for 2026.

The qualifying round was a difficult one with several seasons in one day and after heavy downpours the greens needed to be squeegeed. That didn't stop some excellent scoring by the 24 ladies progressing to the matchplay stages.

Our new Champion is Yorkshire's Emma Brown who plays at Malton and Norton Golf Club.

Not only did Emma win the best gross with a 77, she also helped her team to win the Gross team shield before going on to win the matchplay and thus become our Champion for 2026
