Bringing together golfers from all six Northern Counties
Following the 2 strokeplay rounds the England team which included our own Sarah Naden and Cath Rawthore finished in 3rd position overall which meant they qualified for the matchplay stages.
That result set up a match play quarter-final against Spain, who they defeated easily 4-1, before taking on reigning champions France in the semi-finals.
A good win against France 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 in the semi-final saw them through to a final against Sweden who they also defeated 4-1 to bring home the gold medal
Cath played with Tracey Williamson of Sheringham GC in Norfolk and they succeeded in winning all 3 of their foursomes matches.
Sarah played in the singles matches and won 2 out of her 3 matches.
